Former member of Parliament and vice president Gilbert Bukenya has advised singer Stecia Mayanja to use her new political party The National Peasant’s Party for business not for politics.
He said that it would be stupid of her to invest her own money in the political party knowing clearly that it will never lead the country.
When Stecia Mayanja was unveiled as a president of a political party, fans were surprised. She had just returned from Canada to concentrate on her music career.
She hadn’t said anything connected to politics prior to coming back home. She only informed her fans that she had gone for medical treatment and she was happy to have received that in Canada.
According to Gilbert Bukenya, anyone like Stecia Mayanja investing in a political party would be a waste and he is hoping that his advice sticks to the back of her mind.

“My advice to Stecia Mayanja is that she should not waste her money in politics but use it for business instead. I have been in parliament and politics in general I can tell you that you will either be extremely poor or rich according to how to handle it,”
