Ugandan superstar Eddy Kenzo, born Edirisa Musuuza, has long been recognized for his global music success.
Recently, he made headlines by openly supporting President Museveni, a move that sparked debate among fans and the wider public.
Kenzo explained that his support stems from Museveni’s commitment to the creative industry, particularly through the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).

Museveni pledged 30 billion shillings to fund the federation’s SACCO, a financial initiative aimed at empowering musicians and strengthening the industry’s economic base.
For Kenzo, this was a turning point, as he believes such investment can transform Ugandan music into a globally competitive force.
